"Jewels for Hope" Gives Israel's Severely Disabled Children Unprecedented Opportunities
The famous “Hope Ruby” ring, a magnificent tourmaline and diamond flower brooch, and a spectacular diamond and emerald necklace are a few of the jewels that will be bringing hope and opportunity to ALEH’s children for many years to come.
In a highly publicized Christie’s auction, Mrs. Lily Safra’s “Jewels for Hope” collection raised nearly $38 million dollars, with full proceeds of the auction going to benefit 32 charitable organizations.
Her generous gift to ALEH will make a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of severely disabled children in Israel, enabling them to grow and develop their potential using the latest innovative therapeutic models.
Renowned for her philanthropy and nobility, Mrs. Lily Safra of Geneva thanked everyone at the auction personally for making the event so successful. “I am overjoyed, knowing that so many people in need around the world will benefit.”
We in turn express our appreciation of Mrs. Safra’s benevolence and sterling value system. The impact of her jewels will shine for eternity, in the eyes and hearts of thousands of children whom she has empowered with hope and potential.
