Located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Aleh Bnei Brak is a warm and loving home to over 200 infants and children with severe disabilities.
Its Yad LeTaf Nursery & Kindergarten is specially equipped for 44 infants and toddlers up to the age of 5, whose disabilities range from minor developmental delays to severe disabilities. The nursery provides an intensive early intervention treatment program with a holistic approach, whose goal is to discover each child's ability and develop it to the fullest. The result is that some of the children eventually integrate into regular learning environments.
The Beit Yahalom residential facility for 91 infants and children is a true jewel in the Aleh crown. In this homey living environment, all of the children's needs - including their social and medical needs - are taken care of.
At Beit Yahalom there are always opportunities for growth and fun. After school, the children participate in stimulating and enjoyable extra-curricular activities that combine therapeutic treatments with good times. They also participate in exciting outdoor trips, horseback riding excursions, parties and other social events. The children's preventive and emergency medical needs are attended to by the professionally staffed medical clinic located in the dormitory.
Special Education School Campus - An integral component of the Beit Yahalom facility is the special education school campus, which offers instruction in grades kindergarten and up and features a swimming pool for hydrotherapy treatments.
Approximately 145 children between the ages of 3 - 21 are enrolled in the school, whose professional staff includes paramedical therapists, medical professionals, psycho-social professional and special education teachers. In addition to designing challenging educational programs for the students, the school provides guidance for caregivers, parents, assistants, and afternoon staff.
Rehabilitative Clinic - Aleh Bnei Brak shares its expertise with the wider public through its outpatient clinic. Presently the clinic provides over 350 treatments weekly, in areas such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, animal therapy, music and art therapy, hydrotherapy, preparation for Grade 1, and more.
Other Aleh programs designed to meet the needs of the community at large include seminars and workshops on early intervention, recognizing developmental delays and home-based therapy techniques.
